Lookbook: The Met Gala Is No Longer A Fashion Competition But A Literal Ball

It is the anticipation of who is going to be “Best Dressed” that is the untruth. Truth is celebrities have all the same responsibilities as the rest of us & as priorities shift being the “Best Dressed” among peers is no longer number one, but that doesn’t mean the first Monday in May isn’t still one of the best times to have a good time.

The Theme for the 2024 Met Gala is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” while the dress code is “The Garden Of Time.”

I, myself, am not obsessed with this year’s Gala. Following an event that is not my own & people whom I may never know or meet doesn’t excite me as much as it did in younger years. I am simply looking forward to browsing the looks on my mobile phone while applauding everyone in attendance, having a comforting vegan meal, and minding my own business.

My concerns are more on my personal life.
